Fareed is a Paris-based DJ, composer, and producer whose work sits at the crossroads of experimental techno, bass music, breaks, and electronic sound design. A graduate of jazz conservatory, he has spent the last two decades developing a singular musical language that bridges rigorous composition with forward-thinking club culture.
Over the years, Fareed has released seven major records on respected labels including Hilltop Imprint, Construct Re-Form, Chambre Noire, Maze records, and Big Science records. His productions are characterized by intricate rhythmic structures, fractured breakbeats, deep bass textures, and a rich palette of influences drawn from North African musical traditions. Blending organic elements, field recordings, voices, and electronic manipulation, he creates immersive sonic landscapes that move fluidly between experimentation and dancefloor energy.
With a sound that is both cerebral and visceral, Fareed continues to push the boundaries of contemporary electronic music, crafting works that are as evocative as they are rhythmically compelling.
